Leading design of a new product for Starbucks, from concept through to execution. The product is a single page web app that will launch in 2019 on all Starbucks store tablets and the manager’s laptop. It surfaces information from over 14+ systems and provides actionable guidance to run their store that day. I contributed to research, UI/UX, prototyping, product strategy, and the Starbucks UI toolkit.
I also designed an iPad and iPod touch iOS app for baristas that uses historical trends to provide accurate guidance for what to brew and when to throughout the day.
Led design of brand & product for Lightning AI, a product that uses Artificial Intelligence to help brands grow and expand their target market and advertise to them on Facebook and Google.
Relaunched their brand including a new logo and a website I designed, coded, and art directed illustrations for. Designed their early product, from research and early concepts, through visual design and building out an MVP. I also contributed to front-end development.
Built and launched a SaaS business called Roadmap, a product that makes it easy to capture user feedback, test and prioritise product ideas, and share product vision and updates with a public roadmap. I led design of the brand & product, and contributed to marketing, business, and product strategy. I also did front-end development, coding both the website and web app.
We grew to 50+ paid customers, acquiring users from top brands like Pinterest, Spotify, and GitHub, earning 5-figures in MRR.
Led design of a new product from Redgate Software called SQL Clone, a provisioning tool for DBAs and developers to make tiny copies (clones) of production databases for testing so they can speed up their development process and ship changes faster. I contributed to all aspects of design, from research to concept through to execution and user testing. I also contributed to front-end development and technical writing.
Additionally, I co-led the design guild and efforts to establish and scale Honeycomb, Redgate’s visual design system.

As a visual designer at Basecamp, I worked on digital and print designs, creating marketing campaigns for the launch of BC3. I worked regularly on the website, contributing to strategy, writing, graphic & web design, and front-end development.
Led a small design team at series A funded startup, Jobhive, a product created for companies hiring and people looking for a job, using video applications as a unique way to set candidates apart in their search.
Designed the look and feel of their website as well as the UI/UX of their early product. Defined both the candidate’s experience browsing and applying for jobs, and the company’s experience creating and paying for job listings and reviewing applications. I also contributed to product strategy, user testing, marketing, & front-end development.
I was one of the first teachers at Treehouse, an online school that brings affordable technology education to people everywhere. I taught courses on design, including UI/UX, front-end development, and other fundamentals for creating websites and apps.
Day-to-day included research, writing scripts and content, recording video on set and audio screencasts in a soundbooth, creating and art directing video graphics, and designing sample projects. In addition to my courses, I also created, co-produced, and hosted several mini series.
As a designer at marketing agency Roger West Creative, I worked on complete brand identity systems for clients of all sizes. I designed logos, websites, print and digital marketing campaigns from concept through to implementation. I also contributed to front-end development.
As a designer at advertising agency, SPARK, I designed and coded the agency website and worked on client projects for several well known and local brands. In addition to various websites, landing pages and emails, I designed the UI/UX of mobile iOS apps.
As a design intern at advertising agency, Peak Biety, I supported the art director on internal and client projects. After my internship ended, I continued to worked as a freelance designer on multiple design projects, including a motion graphics piece that was featured in a local commercial.
